Do receive e-mail that is pure junk? Sometimes from people you know and
don’t know. Well the answer here is spam; spam is the unsolicited
sending of ‘junk’ email. Today an average person receives about 12,000
unsolicited email messages a year. This trend will continue to increase
over the next years as more and more companies hop on the wagon. While
many items these unsolicited emails are trying to sell the end-user
something, other times they can be chain letters or pleas for help from
a foreign country asking for you to send money. More recently there has
been spam that has asked the user to receive money from a foreign
country; the only catch here is that you have to e-mail them you
account number. Be smart; avoid these kinds of spam messages.
